September 30th - October 4th

All homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and important information will be updated weekly, or daily as needed by your teachers.
  • PSAT participation permission forms have been mailed to your home address. Please be sure to check your mail! Contact Mrs. Jessica Croswell if you have not received your student's form.
  • Students need to complete all work that they did not finish in class and/or complete assignments on Google Classroom.
  • Spirit Week: 
    • Monday, September 30 = Team Day (wear a team jersey or t-shirt)
    • Tuesday, October 1 = Tourist Day (dress as a tourist)
    • Wednesday, October 2 = Character Day (dress as your favorite character from a movie or book)
    • Thursday, October 3 = Throwback Day (wear attire from your favorite decade: 50s, 60s, 70s, or 80s)
    • Friday, October 4 = School Colors Day (wear SCW or MHS colors)
  • On October 17, the SCA will be hosting a Hat Day for $1. They will receive a Breast Cancer Awareness sticker for their donation. Students who are wearing pink hats or hats with the Breast Cancer Awareness symbol do not have to pay $1 to wear their hat.
Ashberry (Civics)
  • Students should have joined Google Classroom.
  • Review notecards on a nightly basis. Students should have 1-29 copied down.
  • Preamble Quiz will be on Friday, October 4.
  • Documents Soundtrack Project is due on Tuesday, October 8. Students need to complete the "Analyzing the Document" questions, highlight and make notes on the lyrics, and compose a 3-5 paragraph essay explaining how the song alludes to the document.

Ashberry (Language Arts Plus)
  • Students should have joined Google Classroom.
  • Work on IXL links. First five links are due on Friday, October 4.
  • Five-paragraph essay. Rough draft must be shared with editing partner before the end of class on Wednesday, October 9. Edits must be made by the end of class on Friday, October 11. Final draft must be shared with me before the end of class on Tuesday, October 15.
  • Work on I.R. Project. It is due on October 25.
  • Literary Circles has four due dates. Make sure that roles are completed each week. The next due date is Wednesday, October 9.
  • Cursive A-D Quiz will be on Wednesday, October 16.

Evans (Environmental Science)
Students are working on an Ecosystem project that is due on October 1st.
Make sure you are caught up on Google Classroom assignments including the SOAR Classroom Matrix was due this week.
Science Friday comparison of Rachel Carson and Greta Thunberg is due this Friday.
Review your notes on Biotic & Abiotic Factors and Succession. A quiz is planned for Monday.

Evans (Physical Science)
Make sure that you are caught up on Google Classroom assignments and are studying your binder notes for the P.S. 1 Test on Thursday.
Use the Study Resources section in Google Classrooms for daily review.
No Science Friday this week. Please make sure you've submitting the first Science Friday on Google Classroom.

Gregory (Geometry)



Morotini (Language Arts)
  • Your Personal Narrative final copy will be due Friday, October 4th.  Final copy essays should be typed, 12-point, Times New Roman font, double-spaced, and a minimum of 2 pages (one-sided). These should be typed into a Google Doc and shared with me. Papers are a TEST grade.
  • Make sure you are reading at home!! Set a goal of at least 20 minutes a night.
Hooper (Math 8)
  • IXL for practice J.1, J.2, D.7, D.8, F.17

Lucas (Civics)
New section of notes starting tomorrow as well as well as Intro to Documents project. Project will be due October 7
