October 21- October 25

All homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and important information will be updated weekly, or daily as needed by your teachers.
  • Wednesday, October 23rd, is Unity day. We encourage students to wear orange on this day!
  • Yearbooks are on sale now! Yearbooks will be $30, and payment should be made out to St. Clare Walker. 
  • Students need to complete all work that they did not finish in class and/or complete assignments on Google Classroom.
Ashberry (Civics)
  • Students should have joined Google Classroom.
  • Review notecards on a nightly basis. Students should have 1-45 copied down.
  • Debate form must be turned in with parent permission on or before Wednesday, October 23. Otherwise, students will not be allowed to participate in the moveable debate on Thursday, October 24.

Ashberry (Language Arts Plus)
  • Students should have joined Google Classroom.
  • Work on IXL links. Second set of links are due on October 31.
  • Work on I.R. Project. The test and project are due on October 25.
  • Literary Circles have four due dates. The last due date is October 30. Be prepared for reading quizzes. The final test on the book will be on November 4.
  • SCW Social Buzz articles are due November 5.

Evans (Environmental Science)
Students are working on an Ecosystem project that is due on October 1st.
Make sure you are caught up on Google Classroom assignments including the SOAR Classroom Matrix was due this week.
Science Friday comparison of Rachel Carson and Greta Thunberg is due this Friday.
Review your notes on Biotic & Abiotic Factors and Succession. A quiz is planned for Monday.

Evans (Physical Science)
Make sure that you are caught up on Google Classroom assignments and are studying your binder notes for the P.S. 1 Test on Thursday.
Use the Study Resources section in Google Classrooms for daily review.
No Science Friday this week. Please make sure you've submitting the first Science Friday on Google Classroom.

Gregory (Geometry)


Morotini (Language Arts)
  • Wednesday will be our final comprehension test on Freak the Mighty. Make sure you have read all chapters by then. 
  • Freak the Mighty project and paper will begin Friday.
Hooper (Math 8)
  • IXL to practice: J.1, J.10, J.11, K.10 Simple Interest
  • Students are learning about Simple Interest. The formula is I = PRT (Interest = Principal * Rate* Time)
    • Rate has to be in the form of a decimal and time has to be in years in the formula
  • Test will NEXT week - Study Proportions, Percent of Change (N-O)/O, and I=PRT
