All homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and important information will be updated weekly, or daily as needed by your teachers.
  • Field Trip permission slips for the Washington DC Trip have gone home with students. Please return the permission slips and dues at your earliest convenience.
  • Yearbooks are on sale now! Yearbooks will be $30, and payment should be made out to St. Clare Walker. 
  • Students need to complete all work that they did not finish in class and/or complete assignments on Google Classroom.
  • Students will take the Reading MAP Test on Thursday, December 12th.
  • Students will take the Math MAP Test on Monday, December 16th.
Ashberry (Civics)
  • Review notecards on a nightly basis. Students should have 1-65 copied down.
  • Make up any missed work.
  • Lawmaking Project is due on Thursday.
Ashberry (Language Arts Plus)
  • Work on IXL links.
  • Practice cursive, because you have a quiz on Friday.
  • Read accelerated reader book and work on I.R, Project (due in January).
  • WWII Project is due in January.
  • Rough draft of essay is due on Thursday.
  • Make up any missed work.

Evans (Environmental Science)
IA Test on Tuesday, November 19th
Students are studying sources of pollution and beginning to write an article for the TOGA Middle School Writing Contest. The deadline is December 15th. The theme is "Consider the Oyster" and the word range is 500-700 words. Please discuss this essay with your child and go over the contest rules with them. They were given a copy on Monday.

Evans (Physical Science)
Unit Test on Thursday - Chemistry
We have been working on a unit that includes elements of the Periodic Table.
Review your binder notes and graphic organizers nightly. Focus on atomic structure and subatomic particles (protons, neutrons, and electrons) this week.
Review States of Matter, compounds and mixtures for the test on Thursday.

Gregory (Geometry)


Morotini (Language Arts)
  • "Christmas Around the World" research is due by Wednesday, December 11th
  • "Christmas Around the World" Project due Wednesday, December 18th
Hooper (Math 8)
  • Quiz Friday on One and Two Step Equations 
    • Example: 3x+5 = 11, 8 = 2 + x, -4/3x=12, -2 + 4x = 14
  • IXL W.7 (one step) and W.8 (two step) are due by November 27th (Get to 80%)

  • Solving Equations Test Thursday (Dec. 5). 
  • 2nd and 3rd block will finish the test on Tuesday (Dec. 10)
It is very important to work on IXL as practice for this unit. Combining like terms and distributing is used when solving equations, which will be our next unit! 
    Lucas (Civics)
    • Review notecards on a nightly basis. Students should have 1-45 copied down.
    • Political Parties Mock Election will be on Thursday, November 14.
    • Interactive Notebook #4: Political Parties packet must be completed and pasted before Friday, November 15.
    Lucas (Math 8)
    • Continue work on Combining Like Terms, Distributing...with review of Evaluating Expressions
    • IXL to practice Evaluating Expressions: V.6
    • IXL to practice Combing like terms and Distributing: V.15 and V.13
    • Prodigy is good practice!
