November 11th - November 15th

All homework, quizzes, tests, projects, and important information will be updated weekly, or daily as needed by your teachers.
  • Report cards are being sent home tomorrow, November 12th. Pleases return signed envelopes to homeroom teachers no later than Friday, November 15th.
  • Yearbooks are on sale now! Yearbooks will be $30, and payment should be made out to St. Clare Walker. 
  • Students need to complete all work that they did not finish in class and/or complete assignments on Google Classroom.
  • Make sure you are selling fundraiser items! NN Popcorn and Java Joes coffee!!
Ashberry (Civics)
  • Review notecards on a nightly basis. Students should have 1-45 copied down.
  • Political Parties Mock Election will be on Thursday, November 14.
  • Interactive Notebook #4: Political Parties packet must be completed and pasted before Friday, November 15.
  • Citizenship - Political Parties Test on November 20.
  • Citizenship - Political Parties Review is due on November 18.

Ashberry (Language Arts Plus)
  • Work on IXL links (due November 22).
  • Literary Circles poster and project are due on November 14. The due date was extended two days.
  • Cursive Quiz (A-H) will be on November 20.

Evans (Environmental Science)
We are using government resources (AirNow.gov) to investigate air pollution trends and patterns.
Make sure you know the difference between Ozone and PM (particulate matter) pollution.
An IA test has been scheduled for next Monday, November 18th. Study your binder notes on Biodiversity, Succession, Pollution Sources, the Carbon Cycle and Climate Change.

Evans (Physical Science)
We have started a unit on the elements of the Periodic Table.
Review your binder notes and graphic organizers nightly. Focus on atomic structure and subatomic particles (protons, neutrons, and electrons) this week.

Gregory (Geometry)


Morotini (Language Arts)
  • IXL needs to be completed by tomorrow (get to 80% for each link). K.1-K.5, M.1 & M.2. Old links that can be done are J.1-J.7, and O.1-O.3.
  • Students received their guidelines and group selections for our Freak the Mighty project. Their final projects will be due and presented on Monday, November 11th
Hooper (Math 8)
  • Quiz Wednesday on Combining Like Terms, Distributing...with review of Evaluating Expressions
  • IXL to practice Evaluating Expressions: V.6
  • IXL to practice Combing like terms and Distributing: V.15 and V.13
  • Prodigy is good practice! 
It is very important to work on IXL as practice for this unit. Combining like terms and distributing is used when solving equations, which will be our next unit!
